Mod TechConversion from 3ds Max to AFC

Hello,

sorry if I post this in the wrong place or if topic already exists, but I want to know how do I convert the models from 3ds max to AFC.
I've tried both .3ds and .obj, and tried exporting in several pieces of the car in .obj, but nothing worked.
Can someone help me?

First, you should export it in 3dsMAX to .3ds-format, then you can import the car in Blender (it's freeware). After this, you must check if the vertices and faces (polygons) are under the polylimit of 65,200.
If they're not under the limit, you can use modifire, like 'Decimate' or 'Edge Split'. Now, if the polys under the limit you can export the car to .lwo-format in Blender 2.49b.
Than you can import the .lwo-file in MTkit2 and make MTL, Lights, Textures and Database.

But is there any way to avoid shown in image below?

As for me, I dont recommend 3ds file for export - use OBJ file instead an you'll get rid of your error.
