We felt there are some initial questions about our game and want to congregate them in this thread:
Is it Crash Time 4?
One of the frequent question about “City Patrol: Police” was if this game is just a remastered version of “Crash Time 4: The Syndicate”. We really liked the original franchise and for us it was a great pity that are no further iteration in development. So we set down with our team, including key people of the original developer to bring the basic framework onto a state-of-the-art engine, namely Unreal Engine 4. We did great improvements on map design, physics, models and spun a new story featuring hand-painted comic scenes.
Is it a REAL Police Simulation? (Is it just a racing game?)
At the current state of development, the gameplay of “City Patrol: Police” features a great portion of racing gameplay. As we already gathered a lot of feedback we decided to follow on a more open-minded path of development while in Early Access to implement sim-like features. We’re already spinning our heads around some ideas in that direction:
Enter/Exit cars to free roam in first person mode
Randomized side quests to pick up on the map (a more open-world style approach) in a more sim-like gameplay loop:
Find and report parking violators
Spot and catch speeders
Reach and record traffic accidents
Find and return stolen vehicles
We’re eager to hear all sorts of wishes, feature requests and ideas.
Mit anderen Worten: Sie haben alle Assets übernommen und in die Unreal Engine implementiert - und jetzt sieht (nicht nur) die Grafik deutlich schlechter aus.
